I love KoliriOS, but the only reason for running an OS compiled entirely from assembler is for native iron performance. Why would anyone want to subvert that by running in a VM?

The only "Hummingbird OS" that I know about is an android ROM image for nook. That is unlikely to run on any other machine, virtual or not. Have you a link that I might examine to learn more.

Kolibri is Russian for "hummingbird". The OP just didn't change it in the translation.

Did you try VirtualBox? It's probably the easiest route. I've run Kolibri before. It's an interesting little distro to say the least.
