How to restore LFS to my pendrive which my friend wiped completely?

I was following the guide from the book. I went halfway and finished chapter 7
and also backed up the tar file.

I am building my LFS on my pendrive and had three partitions (sdb1, sdb2, sdb3) while building it.
After chapter 7, I unmounted the partitions and kept the pendrive on my table. My friend took the pendrive and wiped it completely and the partitions are gone too.
Now, I want to start from where i left it. I will again create the three partitions and follow this guide: https://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs...7/cleanup.html
Am i right?

It's not the partitions that matter, it's the software on them. Did you get as far as Chapter 7.13.2? If so, you have a saved version of your intermediate system and you can restore it to the pendrive and continue from where you left off. 7.13.3 tells you how to do it. If not, you must start again.

Moral: don't leave pendrives lying around.

Talking Thank you

Yeah, I understood. Thank you!
I saved the intermediate system and will follow the chapter.
Thank you, again!
