how to open Serial ports i virtual box help

hi every body
if any body know how i can open serial ports in virtualbox my host os is linux my guest os is XP

I have done this to allow me to use a cisco router via my Windows Virtualbox install.
I had to add my linux (host) user to the dialout group to use the COM port. A little how to on my website http://phunkymunkys.com/index.php/21...-to-virtualbox, Hope this helps or points you in the right direction.

thanks to you i already do this
but i use serial ports to connect it with my receiver for sharing and sat...
i enter to my virtual machine but the problem like i dont have any device connected
