How exactly did you try to mount the drive and what were the results?
Which Linux distribution are you using, there are over 500?

As the user root, or use sudo.
Open a terminal & type
Code:
mount /dev/sdb2 /mnt
you can now access your pictures in the /mnt directory.

I assume you already tried the mount command. and mount command as superuser failed

I assume the drive uses ntfs right?

Usually you use as superuser (=> type first: sudo su "OR" su)

mount + fuse module loader + ntfs-3g module => which was shortened to ntfs-3g

ntfs-3g 2017.3.23 external FUSE 29 - Third Generation NTFS Driver
Configuration type 1, XATTRS are on, POSIX ACLS are off

Usage: ntfs-3g [-o option[,...]] <device|image_file> <mount_point>

Options: ro (read-only mount), windows_names, uid=, gid=,
umask=, fmask=, dmask=, streams_interface=.
Please see the details in the manual (type: man ntfs-3g).

Example: ntfs-3g /dev/sda1 /mnt/windows
