How to Mount a USB disk on Puppy-Wary 5.5

I'm running Puppy-Wary 5.5 inside a VirtualBox on an old Windows XP system. What can I try to get it to recognize the Lexar disk? The commands I've tried and the manual pages seem to be different so I use my other Linux-Ubuntu machine to search, also.

Have you installed guest additions? I think these are needed for usb drive support.

This tutorial here looks fairly comprehensive...

1.0 should work, I've never tried it though with Virtual Box. the other is to get 2.0 nd 3.0 usb connections.

did you look under Devices, in the client window VB section, not the installed OS part, then select your USB stick in the lisitings, (while it is plug in of course)?

as I just fired up mine with Slackware installed and pluged in a USB stick then did what I just asked if you have done, and it sees it and hooks up to it with no problems.
