how to migrating to latest version of Oprenswan

NAME="Amazon Linux AMI"
VERSION="2018.03"
ID="amzn"
ID_LIKE="rhel fedora"

I've listed my current linux distribution above as i'm looking for assistance with this specific distribution. Anyway assistance would be greatly appreciated.

How can I find out what version of Openswan is currently installed?

Thanks in advance

I know nothing about openswan, try this command.

Code:
cat /etc/*release*
It's sort of a catchall, but it works with most distros.

Openswan is open source VPN software for IPSec VPNs. It is not a Linux distro. It is an open source IPSec implementation.

It is part of the swan family of strongswan, openswan, and libreswan. They all descended from Free S/WAN. i.e. Free Secure Wide Area Network
