Question how to make 'konsole' load automatically after login


after I login as root, how can I make 'konsole' in RHL 8.0 load automatically.

In a user's home directory, there's a .kde directory. In that is an Autostart directory. Put a program shortcut in there, and it will start everytime KDE starts. I would assume that Gnome and other desktops have something similar, if you don't use KDE.

I use it to start the network control on my laptop. That way, I can choose between the home, work, and church networks that I run.

you could put it in your ~/.xinitrc

Here's how I do it. I check the "save desktop on exit" or whatever it's called on the logout box and then just leave it open.
