Smile how to install linux mint side by side windows into an uefi machine without uefi partition


My current windows installation does not have uefi partition.
I need to install linux mint side by side windows 7 ultimate and I want start from uefi windows or linux.
I have 300 gb unllocate disk for linux and data.

Never heard of UEFI working without specialized partition. It might be hidden for Windows, but it is there.

I doubt that is possible unless you create an efi partition for both as they both need to be either UEFI or both MBR. An overview of EFI dual-boooting with windows and Ubuntu is at the link below.
