This thread started out as a how to unzip question to which I have received my replies. Thank you Chris, Prayag and repo.

Taking on Chris's advice, I will me moving to CentOS as I will need a free testing environment over a restricted unlicensed RHEL.

Cool Thanks for the solution

This is why I visit the forums. I had an old instruction set that was for a .tar.gz program that was upgraded to .tar.bz2 and -zxvf did not work but -jxvf did, yay!
