Unhappy how to implement piping between different processes in Linux

I have been trying to implement pipes under Linux where the pipelines are set in a ring.(from process A to process B to process C and back to process A)
A should take a string argument of the form(2 + 3) and sends the data down to a pipe to B.
B should calculate the result and send the result to a C(a python process)
C should pipe "The answer is xxx" to A, which will then output it to the std output.
Please help.
Thx

How far have you been able to get so far? Can you clarify whether this is a home work question?

Also, please don't double-post.

Be warned however, the PDF requires major horizontal scrolling to read & is therefore almost not worth looking at. Does anyone know a (preferably KDE) app. that can easily edit this to a more readable format?

Meanwhile I sent an e-mail of complaint to webmaster@codesourcery.com & composed a new original aphorism-riddle:

What is the difference between Thomas à Becket & horizontal scrolling? . . .

Becket was a pain in the Royal Arse, horizontal scrolling is a Royal pain in the arse.
