How to get ip from a particular dhcp server

hi all.....

I have setup dhcp server on my fedora 9 machine and my machine is not getting ip from any other dhcp server but there is another dhcp server running in the network..I want to test my dhcp server so how can i configure the other machines in my network so that they should take ip from my dhcp server rather that other dhcp server which is also running in the network.....

Thanks in advance..............

Well dhcp requests are broadcasts and usually served as server receives them. Only way to actually force your new server serve all the requests is to remove your older server temporarily.

Don't you have the possibility to just connect it with a notebook via ethernet and look if the notebooks gets an address?
Wouldn't that be the easiest way?
