you do not need to take care about it. When you install the new os you need to choose to use the whole disk (or whatever partition you want).
But without additional info we can hardly give you better tips.

so these are 5 partitions, 3 on sda and 2 on sdb. I do not know which one (or more?) was used by fedora.

Boot off a Gparted Live media (USB/CD/DVD) and delete the partitions you no longer want. However, be careful that you do not delete any partitions that you still need.
