Thumbs down How to delete previous installation?

Hi

I have installed Kubuntu 8.10 parallel to Windows XP. Using GRUB boot loader. Since my Kubuntu installation is not working and my machine hangs just after logging in to KDE 4.1. Additionally, i see the following message when i try to login to failsafe session:

Xsession: Unable to launch failsafe X session ---xterminal-emulator not found; aborting

Now i am fed up and want to delete Kubuntu installation from my machine and ofcourse the boot loader as well. What is the way to go. plz guide me.

Sorry to hear that - it looks like you have an incomplete installation. Where did you get your install media?

To remove linux, just erase the partitions - there is no "uninstall" because there is no point. You can reformat the partitions from Windows, this will erase the software.

To restore the windows bootloader, you need the windows rescue CD. Boot from that and enter "fixboot".

[edit]I had a look at your threads - your last call for help is today?!

I don't see how anyone can help you to that kind of timetable - especially when you have not taken the advise offered to you. (See my sig for details.)
