How to configure yum


hi Friends

I am using RHEL_5_i386 linux distribution.pls tell me how to configure yum or RHN on pc..

not without a decent description of what you're doing. yum is "configured" by default. you just need to register the box against RHN and those repos will work fine. It's all in the manuals - http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/e...S/ch24s01.html

copy all rpm into a folder > rpm -ivh createrepo > vi /etc/tym.repo.d/***.repo
then edit the file
then #yum clene all
#yum list
<===================================> no: 1564
