How to Change Root Password for Fedora 29

Hi
I have just installed Fedora 29 in my PC. Does anyone know how can I change the root password?

Thanks

Assuming that your user has "sudo" rights, simply:

Code:
sudo passwd root
Or if you can remember the old root password:

Code:
su -
passwd
If you've both forgotten the root password, and additionally, your user does not have admin rights, then it is a little more complicated:

Actually, I have just installed Fedora 29. During installation, I have to create a username and password but the system doesn't ask to change root password. So I was wondering how to change the root password for after first-time installation

Did you try the command I suggested, and if so, what was the output?

Code:
sudo passwd root
