Lightbulb Does Kmail remove mail from the server when Deleted from Deleted Items?

Hi everyone,

I'm using Kmail as my default mail client. I'm used to some features that are available in Outlook Exress. Particularly, I like feature which allows you to removeyour messages from the server when you put them in "Delet Item" box.

You can find that feature under the Advanced Tab-Delivery Option

Remove from the server when Deleted from "Deleted Items"

So my questions:
1. Can I find that feature in Kmail?
2. Are there any other graphical mail clients that support that feature?

All I can find at this time is that Kmail allow you to "Remove" all messages from the server.

Thank you for your help,

Oleg

Yes, Kmail will delete the mail from the pop server if you want. I am sorry, i'm in Winders right now so you will need to just go up to the menubar and find the configure Kmail option. I believe that the option is available where you add/edit/remove the pop server. But it is available, I use it. As for other clients, Qmail is very good "I HEAR". Above all, the best Outlook replacment would have to be Evolution in my opinion, very nice.

Need more Information about Kmail

Thank taz.devil for your reply,

Could you be more specific where I can find that feature?

All I see right now in Kmail option is that it allows you to "Remove messages" from the server.

If that box checked it removes ALL messages. If it is not checked it is NOT removing them.

Where can I find option that "Remove s mail from the server when Deleted from "Deleted Items" ????

Thanks,

oleg

A great question... I'm wondering the same thing. I would even prefer a command-line mail client that has this functionality.

Anybody know if an available mail client can do this?

Hi there i was wondering if an option for this has been found yet in the newest kmail? i have the version shipped with kde 3.5.2 and it doesnt have the option to selectively delete mail youve downloaded from the server (only to take the mails off the server completely when you view it). I know that thunderbird had this option but it doesnt work well on my gentoo install.

Can anyone help?
