How do you install tar. bz files?
I'm completely lost and need to know this in order to install firefox 3.

First you need to 'unpack' it.
tar xvjf file.tar.bz
And you'll probably get further instructions inside.

use ark or something similar to decompress it to some folder
# cd /folder/firefox
# ./firefox
|
