Our office needs you specify proxy server in mozilla or internet explorer.
Whenever i open any page it ask for proxy server authentication i will have to specify my login name to connect to the internet.

I am not asking you what proxy authentication means. I was asking mechanism and it seems it is cookie authentication. Is your proxy running ISA or squid? And what credentials do you use for authentication? Windows ADS credentials?
Even on Linux you should be able to authenticate in the similar way domain\user
