How do I make the font bigger under the command line console?

Could I please get some step by step help changing the command line font size to a larger one? I can barely see it as it is.

Go on the menu bar of the terminal client, look there for settings and change font. Each desktop environment has a different terminal manager you havent said what you are using. So I am just assuming.

Good luck to you

Oh I meant making the font bigger in the text console outside of the GUI environment. I'm using Ubuntu and working toward fully command line only.

You might want to look at enviroment variables but I suspect there is a quicker way.

For the linux console it's likely to be either consolechars or setfont.
