How do I install KDE 3.2, if I already have KDE 3.1 installed?

How do I install KDE 3.2, if I already have KDE 3.1 installed?

Do I need to uninstall or reinstall something before installing KDE 3.2?

Do I have to log on as root?

Um, where can I download the installation files?

I went to the www.kde.org site and searched for KDE 3.2 installation files for Slackware, but there are only files for distributions like Debian and Red Hat or something, but no files for slackware.

You'll have to compile the sources from KDE.com - it shouldn't be too difficult.

Most things go

# tar -xzf whatever.tar.gz
-- ( also `tar -xjf` for bz2 ending - see `man tar` )
# cd whatever
# ./configure
# make
-- become root if necessary --
# su
-- then --
# make install

Most things install in /usr/local.

Hope I helped!
