how do I download gentoo CDs?

I can't seem to find isos on the gentoo mirrors.

doesn't gentoo have a set of install cds like other distros?

you can find them here:

If you're planning to do stage 1 install (ie compile every from scratch), all you need is the minimal livecd (in the "universal" directory)
