Question How can I view .AVI and .WMV videos on (Oracle Enterprise Linux) OEL 5.5???

Hi,
I am running OEL 5.5 as a guest to VMware.

My question how can I run video .AVI and .wmv videos from Linux OEL 5.5??

From Linux as a VMware Guest on a Windows/7 as a Host, I would like to launch a VIDEO CLIP that is
located Windows/7 Video Folder.

install the atrpms repo from here http://packages.atrpms.net/dist/el5/atrpms-repo/ and then run "yum install mplayer" and that'll get you going with mplayer.

Note that OEL is a very poor choice for doing things with video and other user focused activites. It's a server distro.
