hotplug + kernel 2.6

Hi all

I a kernel 2.6 and afterwards the hotplug ceased to function. Whenever I started it manually it gave me a failed return. This is the log I get in /var/log/messages:

May 18 07:22:41 lnc99kk /etc/hotplug/usb.rc[8201]: loaded HCD: ehci-hcd
May 18 07:22:41 lnc99kk /etc/hotplug/usb.rc[8201]: loaded HCD: ohci-hcd
May 18 07:22:41 lnc99kk /etc/hotplug/usb.rc[8201]: loaded HCD: uhci-hcd
May 18 07:22:41 lnc99kk /etc/hotplug/usb.rc[8201]: loaded HCD: ehci-hcd
May 18 07:22:42 lnc99kk /etc/hotplug/usb.rc[8201]: FATAL: Module mousedev not found.
May 18 07:22:42 lnc99kk /etc/hotplug/usb.rc[8201]: FATAL: Module keybdev not found.

I checked my kernel two three times and I am sure I do have the module mousedev and keybdev. What I don't have are modules for IEEE and PCMCIA purely because my computer does not support them.

Can anybody help me please?
