Hi , trying to install gnucash on my mac
Hi, I am trying to install gnucash on my mac. I have downloaded fink and downloaded everything for install. says it is installed. I launched x11 and put in the prompt the instructions told me to and it started to load up and then errored with this error.
application ""(process 4532) has crashed due to fatal error.
(Bus error)

Just so you know, if you're asking about Mac, you should probably put this post in one of the non-linux sections.
Linux is not the same as open source, and mac is not the same as linux, the people here are smart and can probably help you, but there are sections specifically designated for non-linux questions.
As for your question, what version of Mac are you running? PPC or Intel?
You might be better off trying to install the program from its source code instead of using fink. If you don't know how to do that/what that is, there are numerous tutorials, I'll try to see if I can find a link to a good one.

actually, if you go to the gnucash website, they have mac .dmg files avaliable for download, installing it directly that way is probably more reliable than fink

I second that, a .dmg file installation would be much more easier and better way to install the application. Here is the .dmg file for the application,
