Help with adjusting what happens during Fedora boot up

Hi Guys,

I have installed Fedora 6 for the very first time. I am normally an Ubuntu user and I am finding Fedora 6 is taking me a little getting used to.

At the moment, during boot up, the computer attempts to negotiate DHCP through a wireless NIC on eth1.

How can I adjust the boot process so that Fedora does not waste time trying to negotiate DHCP for the wireless NIC on eth1?

Thanks in advance.

You could remove the interface through the gui network configuration, or descend into /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts and edit ifcfg-eth1 and add ONBOOT=no and maybe BOOTPROTO=static.

Hope that works, its been awhile since I messed with Fedora.

Thanks lord-fu,

Both of those solutions work.
