Help, No system tray


No system tray detected. How do i correct this?
Running Mint 17.3 Rosa

Hi Robert,

Have you ever seen one with your distribution? Or instead has it never been shown?

Are you talking about the panel/taskbar? is the whole panel missing or is it just the system applet on the panel?

The reason they ask; in GNU\Linux (as you may know) we can have any number of desktop environments( or none), window managers and setups of many kinds so you either had one and lost* it or need to install one?

Did you try turning it off and on again?

If you still have the taskbar that the system trays normally reside could try e.g:

sudo apt-get install stalonetray
not that it's technically recommended...
