gcc: error: -E or -x required when input is from standard input
This error message is showing when i try to compile my .c code. Can anyone guide me what`s the problem or where the problem is ? What can be the possible causes of this error?

What do you think we're going to be able to tell you, given what you posted? You've provided NO DETAILS at all (version/distro of Linux? Where you got the code? What you've done/tried already?), and just given us a vague error message.
Short answer: Try doing what the message says and giving it a -E or -x
Longer answer: Provide details and debug your code/makefile.
Some additional background about how you got to this point will be helpful to understand how best to aid you.
Meanwhile the title of your question is not the best choice. If you can edit your first post and when you do, you'll be able to change the title of the thread. Perhaps make it something more indicating what a summary of your question is will be helpful. CORRECTION: I believe you need to use the Thread Tools pulldown menu and it may allow you to edit the thread, or the thread title from there. Sorry, I myself do not start a lot of threads.
