help me with this error...anyone???


hi everybody!
I'm new to linux.currently I'm using ubuntu jaunty beta release..before this everything ok...but today when i try to update my distribution it came out some error like this:-

E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report.

I already ready try to do manually by running those sudo command,
but I stuck with it because I do not know what to do next...any help??...

You need to paste the output of 'sudo dpkg --configure -a', and your original add/remove command.
