[SOLVED] Help me! ntpq -p No association ID's returned

Hello,

I installed the ntp package on my Ubuntu 16.04 VM and when I run "ntpq -p" it says "No association ID's returned". Can you help me find the problem?

If you haven't run the NTP daemon, then it's not going to find any peers.

Have you run the server?

I solved this by making a change to the /etc/ntp.conf. Instead of "server 0.pool.ntp.org iburst" I wrote "pool 0.ubuntu.pool.ntp.org iburst".
