[root@POL3 /]# sh nessus-installer-2.2.4.sh
No compiler found in your $PATH. Can't continue.

[root@POL3 /]#
Please if everybody that can answer .answer me to fast...etc............................................
Number 1, Redhat 9 is ancient, and really shouldn't be used anymore. It has been replaced (4 times over) by the Fedora Core distrobution.
If you insist on using 9, you need to install development tools, or just as the error says, install gcc. You can download that from HERE I would suggest using yum to install, that way the dependencies are handled.

Dude, did you miss the part where you found out that open source software tends to be free? The vast majority of linux distrobutions are free as in beer, and the few that have costs are enterprise versions. All of the fedora systems are free. Debain and Slackware (the 2 best IMHO) are free. The only cost to get linux is the bandwidth to downlaod (if you have high speed, it is insignifigant), and the cost of the blank CDR, which is also next to nothing.
