Help Installing Suse8.1 on Highpoint 372a

I've been all over the net trying to fing a way to get suse 8.1 running on my highpoint 372a.

I can get it to recognize my drive array when I switch to the console and copy the raid driver to the /tmp location.
After installing the software my computer reboots and I have to use cd1, reload the driver into the /tmp location to complete the installation. I then can log in as root. Works great until I reboot.
Grub comes up, asks which OS , choose linux, linux loads until I get an error about the root, a kernel panic.

What is the error message/kernel panic you're getting?
