Help dhcp and bind


can you help

i am running whitebox enterprise linux 4

i need to know how to have dhcp and bind start at boot

the versions are dhcp ver. 3.01 and bind ver. 9.2.4

i also have webmin ver. 1.26 installed and when i go to the bootup and shutdown menu and say start at boot for the dhcpd and named actions. and apply them and reboot they still don't start at boot


can you help

As root user, you can check the list with the command: chkconfig --list or check individual services like ...
chkconfig --list named
You can set the startup level with the command:
chkconfig named on
or set the individual runlevels. For example:
chkconfig --level 2345 named on .
Those commands also work for dhcpd .
