Sorry for the confusion, I mean the bootloader and yes i use debian but i want to try slackware but everytime I try to install it lilo bootloader fails to install. So I was wondering if the next update slackware 15.1 would have grub bootloader by default. I've tried 14.2 and it's the same issue.

Lilo is not EFI enabled. Your options are GRUB2 or ELILO. The more SLACKWARE option is ELILO.
I am not sure how helpful this is, because we know so LITTLE about your hardware or issue!

That is pretty vague. What exactly happens? Do you get any output, warnings or error messages? How old is the computer you are using and is it EFI capable and set to boot in EFI mode? Is the hard drive a GPT or DOS drive? If not, then you should be able to install lilo to the MBR of this computer. This will be the only OS on the machine, correct? If it is an EFI capable machine, then you need to select to install elilo as pointed out above. Or if you have another Linux OS installed, you could select to not install either lilo or elilo and use the bootloader from the other OS.
