Thank you, I'll try getting 1.
Right now I'm just going thru the long list of threads that I started also the ones that I responded to and seeing what I may have missed the first time I read them., also you guys include a lot of links that I didn't notice or pay attention to when I was in a panic.

I have used other disks and then put my key on the install. Might look at magicjellybean and others.

This is what I have so far:

I've tried a full system restore on original acer aspire hdd, I have 3hdd's.

1. I imaged original 40Gig drive on debian, then started system restore, Alt+F10 wasn't working.
2. I unhid PQ Service copied WINMBRWIN & RTMBR.BIN.
3. Then executed "winmbrwin install rtmbr.bin".
The Alt+F10 key works now but wouldn't complete.
The result that I got was not what I expected but it atleast shows that I have what I need for my VM.

Q:

1. Do I need to finish restoring the drive to make an image for VM or can I use what I have and finish at VM?
