I have no idea about this.All I know is you can directly boot iso using grub2.(found in forum)You don't have to extract the ISO to boot it.
I tried yum install grub2 that worked but somehow i am not able to make grub2 my primary grub.So I cannot get grub2 prompt and get the same old grub prompt.
I know how to install grub from a grub prompt into a flash drive.
