To get any real help you'll have to give us a lot more information. First of all, how does your computer boot? Does it have an old-fashioned BIOS or a UEFI? This determines where GRUB gets installed. If you don't know, tell us what version of Windows is or was on it. If Windows 10, you have a UEFI. And if you're dual-booting with Windows 10, you will need to use that UEFI chip in its native mode.

Also what kind of GRUB prompt are you getting? Does it say Grub> or Grub rescue>?

I have 2 disks. I have Windows 10 on the HDD and i want to install Linux in my SSD. If remember correctly - the SSD had Windows 8 or Windows 10 awhile ago.

The grub promt is just grub and not grub rescue.

I am trying to install Linux from a bootable usb. I have secure boot disabled in BIOS but i have no problem with the boot the problem come when it is trying to install grub

In addition to the above requested information, posting some basic information on your hardware would be useful. You could start by reviewing the tutorial at the first link below explaining installing Ubuntu and compare that to what you did/saw during the install. If you have a newer computer and it already has some operating system on it such as windows, the 2nd link below would be good reading, especially the first part on UEFI .

I just do what the installer tells me to do.
I have tried both with normal installation and minimal installation. Nothing checked at other options.
Then erase disk and install Ubuntu. Then i choosed my SSD disk and automaticlly letting the installee partion the disk.
A bit later in the installer it says that grub couldnt get installed and that grub is needed to start the OS. Fatal error it said.

Maybe i did something wrong in Rufus when making the usb bootable?

If the prompt is Grub, that is good news! It means that the working parts of grub have been installed correctly and it can process shell commands. What is missing is the configuration file that grub normally uses to create its menu and find kernels and initrds. For some reason Ubuntu was unable to create this.

It is possible from this point to boot Ubuntu by hand using the grub shell, but there's not much point in doing this until you find out how to instruct Ubuntu to configure grub properly. Your multi-disk setup may have confused the installer program.

Have you checked the boot order of the disks in the Bios?
When you installed Ubunutu it may have seen the disks in a different order then when booted from Bios, so it set grub to look at the wrong disk for its config file.

Have you read the Ubuntu documentation in the second link I posted above as it gives a pretty detailed explanation of dual booting with windows 10? It is probably UEFI so did you install Ubuntu UEFI and have you checked the BIOS firmware to see if you have an UEFI options to verify that? If that doesn't help resolve the issue, you will probably need to get the boot repair software and run it and post the output from the option to Create BootInfo Summary and not make any changes.
Using the 2nd option explained on that page is better and you can do this from the UBuntu install usb.
