Thanks, people. Yep, windows is UEFI. It was originally preloaded with windows 8.1 and then upgraded to windows 10 in 7/15. And by preload, I mean there is no installation CD/DVD to fall back on. I have the Fedora 23 and Ubuntu Kylin 14.4 ISOs, but, that is it. I sure appreciate your assistance guys. Do you guys know much about EasyRE? They claim that it will solve the booting problem. I'm reasonably sure that this issue is going to have to be fixed on the Linux side.
