GRUB Error 15

Hello - Earlier today I tried installing ubuntu 8.04 from a live CD, I think, however, there was some error in the installation as when I went to restart my computer without the CD, GRUB error 15 would appear on screen and I would be stuck there. Trying to boot from the CD again yielded the same result. Any help would be much appreciated.

The error 15 means that Grub cannot find the files it needs to boot. Are you unable now to use a Live CD?? If you can use it, log in as root and post the results of fdisk -l. Do you have other distributions on your drive? multiple drives? multiple OS's? Did you install Grub to the mbr of the first hard drive?
