gnome error in red hat


Hi,

we got the error while login into red hat as oracle user.
GNOME error and correct the /etc/hosts file

[root@per1 etc]# cat hosts
# Do not remove the following line, or various programs
# that require network functionality will fail.
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
10.0.0.120 per1.com per1
[root@per1 etc]#


please anyone help me out that.

It is vmware machine in windows xp.

It's probably looking for an entry in the hosts file for the machine name against 127.0.0.1:

127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost MyMachine.name.here MyMachine
