gnome error in red hat


we got the error while login into red hat as oracle user.
GNOME error and correct the /etc/hosts file

[root@per1 etc]# cat hosts
# Do not remove the following line, or various programs
# that require network functionality will fail. localhost.localdomain localhost per1
[root@per1 etc]#

please anyone help me out that.

It is vmware machine in windows xp.

It's probably looking for an entry in the hosts file for the machine name against localhost.localdomain localhost MyMachine
