Question GMC does not load

I am using RedHat 7.1 and Gnome

I am trying to use the GMC Filemanager, but it does not load.

The window appears briefly and then dissappears again. It seems as if the window is trying to build the buttons et al, but then it stops and the window dissappears.

When I run it in an terminal window it gives the following message:

<begin paste>

Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by C library

<end paste>

if i do a echo $LANG

it returns en_ZA

I have tried to set the lang to en_UK, by typing
LANG=en_UK

but this makes no differance.

I would really appreciate it if somebody could help me with this problem.

Thank you.
