git clone not working

I am trying clone wrapfs from git repo but getting connection timed out problem. when I tried to download kernel source code, it is working fine and getting downloaded. Dont know what is the problem with git clone.

working ubuntu 13.10 on virtual box..

$git clone git://git.fsl.cs.sunysb.edu/wrapfs-latest.git wrapfs

Please help me on this.

Works for me. Most likely you have a network problem. Check /var/log/syslog for errors. Also make sure you have ~2GB free for a whole kernel image.

Works fine here. Make sure git is updated, system is updated, network connection is ok.

if so then that dollar sign will cause problems

it means as a NORMAL non root user run
