GF 5600 and red hat 9 ???????

I'm a 1st time linux user,

I installed RH9 (had to use text install), but it won't display video. I'm using an AMD 2600 Nforce2 and a GF fx 5600. I've read a couple post that adress the same problem... but I'm lost. I run the TV out cable and I can almost make out the 1st OS screen, but it wont let me install the NVIDIA drivers. If I swap video cards with a buddy; can I login and install the proper drivers for the 5600 and reboot?

Somebody please help. I need a step by step guide.

I'm sick of being a slave to microsoft.

I'm on, but...

I used my buddy's GF4 4600ti to start up RH 9 and then I installed the new driver. I shut down and then reinstalled my 5600. It booted up without any problems. If you have a 5200 or a 5600 and try to install Red Hat 9; this may be the easy way to get it running. All you need is an extra older ATI or Nvidia card.
BUT...
I can't get my 5600 to enable 3d.
What am I doing wrong?

Also,

I have a ASUS A7N8X and I can't find a network card driver. The manual says it's a realtek 8201BL PHY.

Oh, by the way, I'm new at using Linux. Please remember this when posting a reply.
