Getting specific version from SVN

I am totally new to SVN, have a question

I want to tweak kopete (or any other application, I want to tweak my KDE a bit), but starting with the source of the stable version that's in my distro and not with the latest developer code

here is the project page http://kde.org/applications/internet/kopete/development

How can I get the source of a specific release ?

Well generally you wouldn't as the distro code isn't necessarily the same as the released code from the project. THey may have tweaked stuff already, back ported security patches etc. So you'd go get the source that the distro is built from, e.g. a source rpm package etc. as for the specifics of the svn side, you just use "-r 1234" to specify revision 1234, however that revision number bares no relation to the arbitrary release numbers applied to the project.
