getting a "make" binary

the distro I'm using didn't come with "make", so I can't compile/install anything, including the "make" source I downloaded. I can't use apt-get or anything, because I need "make" to compile my modem drivers.

is there anywhere i can download a pre-compiled version of "make"?

make is the command your run to compile your software source code into a binary. The make you have is already binary.

Can you explain exactly what problem you are having running make?? maybe telling us what distro you are using what modem you are working with.. and what exatly you are trying to install.

With the above info, we should be able to help we.

I'm using the latest release of Featherlinux. I'm trying to install my modem drivers (EciADSL, for my D-Link DSL-200 rev. B). However, I get the errors "command not found". I asked at the Featherlinux forums, and apparently Feather doesn't come with gcc, or make.
