Gentoo-GRUB configuration error

I am having the following issue when rebooting my fresh Gentoo installation. I have done this several times before but have not had this issue come up. It has been awhile since I have done this and I have never seen this error, therefore, I have no idea on how to fix it. Thanks for your help in advance.

Booting Command List

root(hd0,0)
Filesystem type is ext2fs, partition type 0x83
kernel /boot/kernel-x86-2.6.29-r3 root=/dev/sda3 init=/bin/bb

Error 15: File not found

Press any key to continue...

I currently have my HD in three partitions as listed below with their attributes.

/dev/sda1 = Boot
/dev/sda2 = Swap
/dev/sda3 = Root

I have already referenced the guide listed below as well and I found it to be more confusing.

Hi,

this happened to me once, and I couldn't find the reason. In the end I compared to another boot partition, and foud out that mine was missing the boot link to itself.Execute
Code:
ln -s . boot
in your /boot.

I'm of course assuming that you followed the guide correctly, have modified in appropriate places and that your grub setup is correct.

Smile Thanks!

I will try that. If that does not work then I already have another install in progress so I will continue with that one and delete the other vm that would not boot. Good learning experience to keep building them anyway. Thanks again for your suggestion.
