gcc4.2 included ubuntu


Hellow friends..,
Am new to this forum and seeking help to know which version of ubuntu have gcc4.2. I want to run one application for which gcc4.2 is required. Please help me..

Hello & welcome to LQ. Ubuntu 10.04 has gcc4.2. I cannot swear that it is the only version that has it.

do you really need exactly gcc 4.2 (or at least 4.2)?

or is the software 5 years old and dose NOT conform to the standards in gcc 4.3,4.4,4.5,4.6,4.7,4.8,4.9, or 5.0
