full desktop on asus eeepc 701sd

I recently bought an Asus EEEPC 701SD with linux installed.I am having trouble accessing full desktop on my EEEPC.I have followed instructions I have found on the internet but I receive the following error message when I enter apt-get install kicker
Reading package lists...Done
Building dependency tree...Done
Package kicker is not available, but is referred to by another package
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source
E: Package kicker has no installation candidate
Any assistance is greatly appreciated

A link would have been appreciated here. There are lots of "instructions" on "the internet", not all of them good, useful or wholesome. Where have you been getting your advice from?

See here

Welcome to LQ.
