i created a user named "ftpsite" in centos. this user can ssh to server and create file and folder in it's home directory but when i connect to server via ftp with this user it can not create file or folder. error is:

550 Create directory operation failed.
Please help me

What distribution? what ftp server (proftpd, vsftpd etc) ?

Did you restarted server after changing config? Look for /var/log/vsftpd.log maybe you see there more information.

Check the logs mostly I think this is the issue with the permission of the FTP path give the FTP user write permission to the directory it should fix the issue.
