FTP: connection timeout

while doing FTP through command prompt, connections times out after some time remaining idle, but doing ftp through browser, connection doesn't time out after some time remaining idle... why is it so?

Hi Yogesh,

1. What output are you getting when you try to ftp to your server through command prompt? Please paste it here

2. What message does your browser show when you type ftp URL on your browser ?

3. What does following command show from client ?

telnet <IpOfFtpServer> 21

normally it's 2hrs time out I think
