Free space not showing correct after increasing root partition size with GParted.

Hi All,

I increased size of root partition of my openSUSE OS. It was initially 7.75 GB, I increased it to 36.5 GB with GParted, by booting from UBUNTU.

Now when I again booted in openSUSE, the size of root has increased but the free space is still same.I am not able to install new packages in it, even it is not able to load any user profile except root due to low space.

I am not understanding, why the free space remained constant even after resizing the partition.

This was the first time I resized the partition, I am completely stuck.

Please help me.

Thanks
Avanindra

Hi sycamorex,

Thanks for the reply. It got fixed, I re-ran the resize operation on the root drive and Gparted completed successfully the operation this time, now it is showing correct free space.
